Jeffrey Scott Holland and his Jug Stompers, performing "Come Back To Your Kentucky" at the world famous but now defunct Cardinal Deli at Boone Tavern Square, Berea, KY, 1998. Holland's Jug Stompers frequently subjected Berea College students to their noxious brand of avant-garde primitive jug band music at the Cardinal's open mike nights. JT Dockery steps up to the imaginary microphone and sings his heart out on this one as JSH and the band provide anemic backing in the wrong key. There was no rehearsal, and most of the band were not even familiar with the song. This song was written by HIMiranda in 1966 and recorded by former Governor of Kentucky AB "Happy" Chandler. Between them, JSH, Manley and Dockery own over 200 copies of this 45, plus a stack of copies of the sheet music.
